Don't hit the trail without checking these essentials!
🧰 Basic Gear
Full tank of gas
Spare tire (in good condition)
Jack & lug wrench
Tire pressure gauge
Air compressor (for airing up after the trail)
Tow strap or recovery strap (rated for your Jeep's weight)
D-rings/shackles
Work gloves
Portable shovel
Basic tool kit (wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers)
First aid kit
📡 Navigation & Communication
GPS or off-road navigation app (AllTrails, Gaia GPS, OnX Offroad)
Paper map of the area (backup for digital)
Cell phone (fully charged)
Satellite communicator or satellite phone (for no-service zones)
Walkie-talkies or GMRS radios (for group rides)
🧃 Personal Essentials
At least 1 gallon of water per person
High-energy snacks (jerky, trail mix, bars)
Weather-appropriate clothing (layers, rain gear)
Sunglasses & sunscreen
Bug spray
Trash bags (leave no trace!)
🔧 Jeep-Specific Prep
Check tire pressure (air down for trail, usually to 15–20 PSI depending on tires)
Check all fluids (oil, coolant, brake, windshield washer)
Disconnect sway bars (if applicable and planning moderate off-road use)
4WD system test (make sure it's functioning before you hit the trail)

GoPro or action camera
Tripod for group shots

Notebook or journal to document the adventure
