Hey Jeep Fam!
We’re so excited to have you along on this journey with us — exploring trails, earning badges, and making memories one muddy mile at a time. But before we hit the next trail, we wanted to take a moment to share something really important.
We’re beginners.
That’s right — we’re learning as we go, just like many of you! Frame the Fun Adventures is all about sharing our off-road experiences in real-time. The excitement, the stumbles, the upgrades, the oops-moments — we’re here for all of it. But because of that, we want to make something super clear:
We are not professional off-road guides, mechanics, or safety instructors.Everything we share is based on our personal experience — not expert advice.

⚠️ Use Caution — Your Jeep, Your Call
While we love sharing what works for us, you should always do your own research and make decisions based on your own comfort level, Jeep setup, and trail experience.
We are not liable or responsible for any injuries, vehicle damage, recovery costs, or trail misadventures that happen based on something you saw in our blog, videos, or social media.
Off-roading is an adventure — but like all adventures, it comes with risks.
⛔ Dangers of Hitting the Trail Unprepared
Before you jump into your first trail day, it’s important to know what can go wrong if you’re not prepared:
Getting stuck with no way out (especially if you're solo)
Damage to your Jeep’s undercarriage or drivetrain
Crossing unsafe water or unstable terrain
Injury from rollovers, trail recovery mistakes, or weather exposure
Getting lost or stranded in no-service zones
🧠 Common Beginner Mistakes
We’ve made some of these already (and learned the hard way). Here's what to watch out for:
Underestimating a trail’s difficulty
Not checking weather forecasts
Driving alone on unfamiliar or remote trails
Going in without proper recovery gear
Not airing down your tires for traction
Relying only on cell service for navigation
🗺️ How to Choose a Trail That's Right for You
Before heading out, ask yourself:
✅ Is this trail rated as Beginner, Moderate, or Advanced?✅ Have you checked recent reviews or videos from others who drove it?✅ Are you comfortable with the terrain types (mud, sand, rocks, steep climbs)?✅ Does your Jeep have the clearance, tires, and recovery tools needed?
If you're just getting started, stick to Badge of Honor trails labeled “Easy” and work your way up!
🌊 Water Crossings: Know Before You Go
Water can be deceptive and dangerous. Here’s how to assess it:
Know your Jeep’s fording depth — stock Wranglers average around 19–30 inches.
Walk it first (if safe) or use a stick to measure the depth and check for current.
Don’t cross if water is moving quickly or higher than your axle.
Be extra cautious after heavy rain.
When in doubt? Don’t cross it.
🛠️ Do I Need to Lift My Jeep to Hit Trails?
Nope — not necessarily!
A stock Jeep can handle many beginner and moderate trails, especially if you air down your tires and have a spotter. But if you want to explore more technical or rocky trails, a mild lift (2–3 inches) and larger tires (33” or more) can help a lot.
Still, mods aren't required to start — knowledge and preparation matter more than gear!
❤️ Safety First, Always
We want everyone in the Jeep community to explore responsibly, safely, and smartly. Know your limits, trust your gut, and when in doubt — don’t push it. The trail will still be there tomorrow.
🚫 Once again, we are not responsible for any accidents or injuries that may happen if you choose to follow what we do. Please consult with experienced guides, local Jeep clubs, or off-road training programs before tackling difficult terrain.
We’re here to share, inspire, and connect — not instruct.
Thanks for following along with Frame the Fun Adventures — let’s keep learning together, sharing safely, and waving at each other on the trail 👋
See you out there!– Aaron & the Frame the Fun Adventures Crew
